Space-charge effects in ionization beam profile monitors

چکیده

Ionization profile monitors (IPMs) are widely used in particle accelerators for fast evaluation of parameters high energy beams. Due to the space-charge effects and several other physical reasons, as well due instrumental effects, measured IPM profiles differ from those Empirical mathematical models commonly reconstruction profiles. Here we present proper correction algorithm based on dynamics secondaries IPMs. We also demonstrate efficiency beam size experimentally discuss practical aspects limiting accuracy.
